Frances the Mute

The American band The Mars Volta has gathered quite some attention in recent years, not in the least in prog rock circles, where they are often hailed as one of the best modern examples of the genre. I am still not fully convinced of their qualities, but they do make original music, as well as fascinating album covers. The above, for the 2005 album Frances the Mute, shows its designer Darrell Lance Abbott clearly inspired by Magritte.
