Imaginary friend

Minimalism is a tricky genre of photography - often the inclusion of a single subject in a vast area of background works very artificial. Not here. This image is by my Flickr friend John tr00asp00. It is an amazing shot because it takes a while to see that the second feather is actually a shadow of the first. Once more a great example also how conversion to black and white really can improve an already great shot. Also note that someone else left the comment "Art for art's sake" on the picture - so what else can I do but include it here?
