One of my favourite shots on Flickr, dating back a few months. My Flickr friend paulrutherford posted this oriental gem and I immediately fell in love with it. His own comments on the shot: At the centre of Kandy is Sri Lanka's most important Buddhist shrine, the Temple of the Sacred Tooth (Dalada Maligawa), which houses the relic that arrived in C16th. The entrance to the temple is through the 'Great Gate', formerly the main entrance to the royal palace. As we were leaving, we found this robe and two flowers, ready to be photographed. I particularly like the colours and the juxtaposition of the free flowing forms of the robe with the strict geometry of the surrounding. An exquisite shot.
