The jewess

A painter I like very much, but one that has so far not featured yet in my blog after the purge of October last year. High time to make space for Italy's greatest painter of recent centuries, Amadeo Modigliani (1884-1920). Although influenced by many contemporaries, as well as by native art from Africa and Asia, he developed a style that is totally unique and easily recognizable. The painting I selected dates back to 1908. More on Modigliani in the wikipedia article linked to below.
