Ripped in November

A selected overview of culture stars relevant to my own tastes who passed away this month. Rest in peace. Image by myself.

Zoltan Kocsis (64), Hungarian pianist, conductor and composer. He features a number of times in our classical music CD collection.
Leonard Cohen (82), Canadian singer/songwriter. One of the very best of all time, with countless beautiful songs including Suzanne, Sisters of Mercy, First we take Manhattan, and Hallelujah.
Robert Vaughan (83), American actor. I'll always remember him for the 60s TV show The man from UNCLE..
Leon Russel (74), American musician and songwriter. My personal favourite of his is the gorgeous This masquerade, preferably in the cover by the Carpenters.
Marti Friedlander (88). New Zealand photographer. She is best remembered for her many series of shots documenting daily life of her country,
Andrew Sachs (86), German-born British actor. He will always be remembered as Manuel, the waiter in the classic sitcom Fawlty Towers. Que?
Pauline Oliveros (84), American composer and accordionist. We have a CD with works by her in our classical music collection.
David Hamilton (83), British photographer and director. Famous for his soft focus nude images of young women, including the movie Bilitis
