The least exciting (but most important) parts of owning art

The linked art-icle gives an interesting overview of the practical things one has to consider when buying art. Some are trivial (like ensuring that the nail in the wall can support the weight of the painting), some surprising (a painting hung above a working fireplace that started to melt), some shocking (insurance for transport usually pay per weight rather than value in case of damage). The picture above (link) shows paintings by my wife hung professionally in the museum of Tours for an exhibition. They are still missing by the way (story here).
