Perhaps the most eagerly awaited release in recent years was Kate Bush' return to the scene in 2006 after an astonishing twelve years of absence. The resulting double album Aerial may not have been on par with her absolute master piece Hounds of love, but it is a stunning work all the same. The closing track of disc one, A coral room, is easily her best song since The fog off the album The sensual world. It is a beautiful solo piano accompanied ballad of the type that she should have a patent on, a very personal sharing of her feelings upon the death of her mother.
Art Rock score: 10/10 (brilliant masterpiece, one of 200 best songs of all time)
