Ripped in April

A selected overview of culture stars relevant to my own tastes who passed away this month. Rest in peace. Image by myself.

Erik Bauersfeld (93), American voice actor. He delivered Admiral Ackbar's immortal line "It's a trap!" in Star Wars: The return of the Jedi.
Nicolas Tikhomiroff (89), Franco-Russian photographer. Best remembered for his work on World Cinema and war photography
Fulvio Roiter (55), Italian photographer. He released about 100 books with his photographs. Great shots of Venice.
Guy Hamilton (93), French-born British film director. He directed among others four James Bond movies (Goldfinger, Diamonds Are Forever, Live and Let Die, and The Man with the Golden Gun) and two Agatha Christie movies (The Mirror Crack'd, and Evil Under the Sun).
Prince (57), American singer/songwriter. Highly regarded, but not a personal favourite. Still, When doves cry is on our car USB stick.
Inge King (100), German-born Australian sculptor. Best remembered for her monumental abstract sculptures in Australia.
Billy Paul (81), American soul singer, one of the finest of the Philadelphia sound. His ballad Me and Mrs. Jones was a US number one hit, and remains a personal favourite on our car USB stick.
