An update on copyright issues
Posts that have no copyright issues (images shown were created latest 1923, or the creator died at least 70 years ago, or they are explicitly not copyrighted at the time of posting). No discussion required.
Posts with images that are under copyright, but where explicit permission has been obtained from the copyright owner. Flickr Favourites is the main category where this applies, but also for occasional posts in other categories.
Posts with images that are under copyright, but that are shown at thumbnail size (max 125 px). This is generally accepted to be allowed under the fair use principle.
Posts with images that are under copyright from either the blog's author or his wife. Obviously these are posted with permission. :)
Posts with images that are under copyright, but where including the image is required for discussion - moreover, these are all images at lower resolution and for creations that are mass marketed. Examples are album covers, single covers, magazine covers, movie posters, vintage posters, and advertisements. This is presumed to be allowed under fair use.
Posts linking to YouTube videos with a low resolution screenshot as illustration. This is presumed to be allowed under fair use.
As I've been doing for the past 30 months, copyright statements will be included with each new post.
Copyright statement: image in public domain.
