Before the reset early this year, there was a category "My Digital Art" in the blog. This was mainly for images I created on the DeepArt site (link), where you can upload one of your photographs and another image to define the 'style' (in my case usually a painting). The AI programme then created an image of the photograph in the style of the painting. It takes a few tries sometimes, but the results can be very attractive. I have not decided yet whether I would want to revive this category, so for the time being this appears under "Anything Goes".
Today it is exactly 10 years ago that we moved to Kampen, so I decided to make today's post about Kampen - a dozen of these digital art images of this beautfiul city (ten from the blog's archives, and two new ones). The image above is created via the Photofunia site, which is free from copyright issues.
Across the IJssel
What happened to my gate?
In the Park
Blending my photograph of the city park, and a painting by Constable (link here). The result is very Constable indeed.
Evening Mood
Bending my photograph of a sailing ship moored at the IJssel near our home with a painting by Monet (Sunrise at Etretat).
Blending my photograph of the bridge over the IJssel, connecting Kampen with IJsselmuiden, and a painting by Hopper (link here).
Blending my photograph of one of Kampen's iconic buildings (the windmill D' Olde Zwarver, Ye olde hobo), and a painting by Jacob van Ruisdael (link here).
Blending my photograph of Kampen as seen from high up on the New Tower, and a painting by Andre Derain (Port with Lighthouse). The result is very Fauvist.
The Bridge
Ye olde hobo
Across the Rooftops
Excelsior!
Blending my photograph of the Kampen bridge across the IJssel (looking up toward the mechanism that can raise the bridge) and a painting by Munch (Summer night, Inger on the beach).
Blending my photograph of our old city hall in the morning fog, and one of Richter's blurry grey-scale paintings (link here). The dream-like result is quite convincing, and looks like a real Richter to me.
Blending another on of my photographs of the local park in spring, and a painting by Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot (The Toutain farm).
Blending my photograph of a local sailing ship and a painting by Monet (Sunrise at Etretat) for a very impressionist result.
Blending a photograph I took myself of a medieval instrument player during one of Kampen's many festivals, and a painting by Lucian Freud (Man in a Blue Scarf).
